Sammi Boo Carolling

Hi Everyone Cindy here with the latest installment of our Christmas in July
For this card I have used Sammi Boo Carolling.
I have colored her with Copics, the recipe card is below.  I have also used Stardust Stickles on the snow around her and on the ground.

The base of the card is Gumball Green from Stampin Up. I have put a layer of white card stock embossed with the embossing folder called Beautifully Baroque from Stampin Up. I added a piece of designer paper to the side, which I cut at 2 inches by 5 inches. It is from my stash and is a retired paper from Stampin up, trying to use up all the bits and pieces.
I have cut her out using the Oval Framelits from Stampin Up. and then put her onto a piece of Gumball Green card stock which was cut using the lacy ovals dies from Spellbinders.
to finish the card I have added some flowers from my stash .
Thanks for looking and if you are in need of some new images for your Christmas cards, then check out  the Shoppe

Fairies are Sew Sweet

This week at Come and Get It we have a new challenge, and that is Fairies, so pick a fairy image and play along. For my card I have used a fairy from Stitchy Bears called  Stitcher Fae 2 by BB Kakes
I have used paper in background that is from a DCVW stack, not sure of the name as I was in Vancouver on vacation when I made it and the paper belonged to Judy. Anyway it feels like a linen fabric, so cool. I have colored her with copics. The dies I used are also Judy's which have a stitched border, the scissors are a stamp, and the measuring tape is a ribbon.  I added a sew special sentiment and once on the card I added drew on the thread to make it look like it was coming onto that part of the card. I added a button as well.
Thanks for looking.

The Holly and The Ivy

Hi Everyone. This week at Holly Jolly Christmas Challenge we have a great challenge for you, make a project inspired by a Christmas Carol. We have 3 fabulous sponsors as well, Dr. Digi, Melonheadz,
and Lacy Sunshine. I am using two images from Lacy Sunshine for my Journal page, I originally had a few different ideas on what I wanted to do, but nothing was working so decided to do the paper background as a change. The image was colored with Copics. The frame around the image is from the Silhouette Store. The music is from a file off the internet, which is the chorus of the Carol the Holly and the Ivy. Then the other bits are stickers, which I very rarely use, from a Recollections paper kit. Thanks for looking. and please go over and check out the amazing projects by the DT
Thanks for looking Cindy oh here is a close up of the image as well

Christmas in July for Anything Goes

We are celebrating Christmas in July over at the Lacy Sunshine Blog this month, and we have a challenge, so come and join us to win one of the amazing digis from Lacy Sunshine.
For my card I am using Wix Christmas Moon

I have used the following colors to color this beautiful image

After coloring her, I was trying to figure out some papers to go with her, well I found a stack that had a great green plaid but I wanted some of the rose pink in there as well. so I added the plaid in the background, then I got out my acrylic paints and stencil and painted the background with a snowflake stencil and did it in metallic green and pink. I set it aside to dry,
I then cut out Wix using the die from Stampin Up called top note, then cut around her so that the layer of pink shows behind her. I then added some White Seam Binding Ribbon from Stampin Up, and then wanted some flowers to match, so I decided to color them with the Sunshine Sprays. The poinsettias I colored with Pink Cherry Fizz, and the Rose I colored with a combination of Spring Dew Green Shimmer, and Peacock Teal. so it came out almost a mint green, and has some sparkle to it, then I cut out some flourishes with some silver glimmer paper, and added them. then I decided on the sentiment from the Joyous Celebrations set, where I stamped the oval using Bermuda Bay, and the sentiment in Strawberry Slush, and that finished the card.

Christmas in July

This week at Come and Get It, we are celebrating Christmas in July. For my card I made it really a clean and simple card. I have used the image from Bugaboo called Ava and Deacon Merry Christmas. I printed it out to be 4 by 5.25 and colored it in with copics. I have added a bit of sparkle to her hat, and the stars on the tree, and on the snowflakes. That's it.
Thanks for looking.

Winter Wonderland

Hi Everyone, this week at Holly Jolly we have a new theme for this fortnight make a holiday card with the theme of a Winter Wonderland. I have made my card using a couple of images from OddBall Art Co. #9 Wanda, and #139 Kawaii Bunnies. Are they not cute. Anyway I have colored the tree, bunnies, and her with copics, then fussy cut out her and the bunnies. The tree is a die cut from Memory Box, along with the border of pine trees I used. I sponged the sky and snow with Marina mist ink, and then I splattered some white paint onto the card after parts were attached. Wanda is on dimensionals.

Sunflower Sprite

Hi Everyone, Here is my card for the current challenge at Come and Get It, with the challenge of Flowers. I am using the Sunflower Sprite image from Aurora Wings, one of our sponsors this week. Come over and See what the rest of the ladies have done, some great inspiration.

My card is made using the paper from Stampin up called Flowerpot and Dafodill Delight card stock, along with some garden green flower buttons and twine. It's a simple layout so that the image can shine. the layout is from this week's sketch Challenge over at Outlaws.
Thanks for looking Cindy

File Folder Box and Card

Hi Everyone, Cindy here for the latest installment for this month and our theme this month is Christmas in July. I was given a beautiful Image to work with from Heather Valentin, called Rose Angel part of the newest collection called Angel Kisses Here she is colored

and here is the color card for the colors I have used, and in addition I have added a bit of glitter to her wings and to the dots around the roses.

After coloring her I decided I wanted to make a special project with her, so I have made a box that includes a card, and a spot for a gift card too. Here is the front of the box

I have used Very Vanilla Seam binding ribbon for the ribbon, the Stamp for the greeting is from Stampin up called For all Seasons, stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink and the sprigs on the top are punched using a Martha Stewart Punch and the rose is a vanilla one made of paper from my stash.
All the card stock on the box is Cherry Cobbler, and the designer paper I printed it out, as it was one of my favorites called Deck the Halls by Stampin Up, kind of has a vintage feel to it
If you untie the ribbon the card opens up and there is a spot inside to do a greeting and also a gift card
Here is a picture of this

I have used a greeting from the stamp set called More Merry Messages from Stampin Up,
I stamped the bottom and top of it with the pine branch in Always Artichoke Ink and then cut out with the Labels One Die from Spellbinders. I put a visa gift card in to show the pocket of the box.
Now here is a picture of the box when it is opened

so this is the box opened, so you can put a small gift inside of it, then you have the card and message attached.

Here is a special treat for you, I have a tutorial on how to produce the box yourself,
The box and card base is all made of one file folder.
Here is the picture of the file folder for placement of card front, ribbon, magnets which hold the box closed, and also which corners I corner rounded to make it nicer looking.
I then will have the instructions under the pictures. If you have any questions at all don't hesitate to get in touch with me via email at cvanoorschot@gmail.com, or on facebook in the Lacy Sunshine group
Thanks for looking and have a creative day.
